Revisit Restoran Kampung Ah Soh

Sorry for the long hiatus; was busy with life, getting well and closing projects. In a nutshell, lots of things got in the way; mentally and physically taxing.

Been revisiting Restoran Kampung Ah Soh in Bandar Puteri Puchong every now and then these days. Reckon to be one of the outlets in Puchong that serves good Chinese and Hakka food.

It was late and I opt to try out one of the porridge from the menu. Turns out to be something worth posting. The porridge looks like it had been precooked for hours in low heat. What makes me say this? All the rice is broken and the porridge is neither thick nor immiscible(when left aside too long). Stir it a bit before consuming to mix the ingredients evenly to be able to capture it at every spoonful...yummy! Generous servings of cut salt preserved eggs, century eggs and chicken slivers.
Hah... as usual, every meal I'd taken with this friend of mine will always come with dessert and if there is glutinous rice balls in the menu, it will not be missed! =D this time its a non-soup type where the glutinous rice balls were rolled over generous amount of broken roasted peanuts.
See how the filling is escaping freely... black sesame paste were used as the filling. Need to consume fast as the skin will loose its moisture to the peanuts.
My friend's order; 饺子 jiǎo zi... not sure what it taste like, I didn't try for the need to finish the porridge on my own. From my fellow connoisseur's expression, its more of a mediocre fare.
Still I will go back for more... hehehe... lovely place, great service and good food.
